How to Contact the Visa Information Center
Our Visa Information Center, which is staffed with operators Monday through Friday (including most American and Colombian holidays from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. EST, answers general visa questions and schedules certain types of appointments.
In order to contact the Visa Information Center, callers in Colombia must first purchase a personal identification number (PIN). Then dial 346-9150 (in Bogota) or 01-8000-12-32-32 (in Colombia but outside of Bogota).
Callers in the United States must dial 1-877-804-5401, and the call will be charged to their credit card (Visa or MasterCard). The charge when calling from the United States is US$16.00 per call (the service has a time limit of 15 minutes per call).

From where can I call the Visa Information Center?
- You may call from any touch-tone telephone. When calling from outside of Bogotá, the telephone line must have 01-8000 calling capability.
May I call the Visa Information Center more than once with the same PIN?
- Yes. You may call as many times as you like until all of the minutes (15 or 20, depending on which type of PIN you purchased) are used up.
May I call the Visa Information Center more than once if I am calling from the United States?
- No. The charge if you are calling from the United States is US$16 per call. The service has a time limit of 15 minutes per call.
May I ask the Visa Information Center about a visa refusal?
- No. The Visa Information Center does not handle case-specific inquiries. Please contact the Immigrant Visa Unit to inquire about a specific case.
