    • No.  You may follow to join an employer who is temporarily living in the United States and is already present in the United States.  However, if your employer is currently living in Colombia, it is usually best for you to travel with your employer when you apply to enter the United States.
  • Can I change employers while in the United States in domestic employee visa status?

    Can I change employers while in the United States in domestic employee visa status?

    • No.  At the time of your interview, the consular officer approved your domestic employee visa to allow you to work for a specific employer while in the United States.  The name of your employer will be annotated on your approved visa.  If you would like to change employers, you must apply for a new visa in order to be able to work for a new employer.  You are required to provide a signed contract at the time of your visa interview that includes a commitment by both you and your employer that you will not change employers while in the United States.
