Secretary Rice September 25 meeting with Colombian President Uribe
Secretary of State Rice met with President Uribe on September 25. It was a good opportunity to review the bilateral agenda and talk about several key issues, including our FTA with Colombia. President Uribe spoke about Colombia's advances on human rights, especially combating violence against trade unionists. The Secretary urged him to continue these efforts and underscored our commitment to our Congress's successful consideration of all the FTAs, including the one with Colombia.
