June 18, 2009
The U.S. Government, through its Air Force Mission in Colombia, donated on June 10 school supplies to the Hogar San Mauricio orphanage in Bogota. The donation, worth $360, included binders, notebooks, pens, pencils, markers, etc. The directors and children expressed their gratitude for this gesture.
In the past, different USG agencies have been supportive of this home. Among them, the US Milgroup has donated preschool facilities, the sports area and the sidewalks around the school rooms. In addition, the Public Affairs Section donated a computer lab that is currently used for English teaching activities with the children.
