Military honors rendered by the U.S. Army to Juan Sebastian Restrepo

The U.S. Embassy deeply regrets the death of Private First Class Juan Sebastian Restrepo, who was killed in action while conducting combat operations in Afghanistan on July 22, 2007.

Private Restrepo was a medic for the U.S. Army. His remains will be buried in Colombia. PFC Restrepo is survived by his mother, father and two brothers. He was born in Neiva, Colombia and raised in Pembroke Pines, Florida.

PFC Restrepo served in the U.S. Army for a year and a half. His posthumous awards include the Bronza Star, Purple Heart, and Combat Medical Badge. Full military honors will be rendered by the U.S. Army.
