Important Warden Message for American Citizens in Colombia
On Thursday, June 28, 2007, the U.S. Embassy in Colombia issued a message concerning a specific threat to American citizens in the town of Melgar, in Tolima Department. Since then, Colombian authorities have arrested those who were responsible for the threat. With these arrests, the Embassy is now rescinding its June 28 message.
Despite the end of this particular threat, American citizens in Colombia should remain aware of their surroundings and maintain a low profile.
