Agreement for the Second Phase of the Escuela de Floricultura Program
Ambassador Wood participated in the signing ceremony of an agreement between the United States, through the Agency for International Development (USAID) and Asocolflores, to implement the second phase of the Escuela de Floricultura Program. The U.S. contributed $1 million to the program. The program will benefit internally displaced people in the Bogota savannah and the North East area of the Antioquia department by providing assistance to 1,380 families during a 28 month period. The program will be implemented through training, job opportunities, psychological and social assistance, and entrepreneurship.
