Contemporary Art Gallery Opens
Tres Patios Gallery, a project conceived and developed by Fulbrighter Tony Evanko, opened for the purpose of exhibiting his art students' works and those of local contemporary artists. Tony Evanko came to Colombia to teach, hold workshops and continue his art research. Born and raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico, he is an architect and associate professor at the University of New Mexico. In May he will hold a workshop on design and construction of a cultural center in low income neighborhoods, for activists and representantives of community organizations, community leaders and university students.
