Agreements for $1.3 Million for Strengthening the Hydrocarbon Sector
Thelma J. Askey, Director of the U.S. Trade and Development Agency (TDA), and Colombian Minister of Mines and Energy, Luis Ernesto Mejia, signed three agreements for the purpose of strengthening the Colombian hydrocarbon sector. The funds will be used to evaluate the modernization options of the Barrancabermeja refinery, carrying out a study on the feasability of improving operational aspects of the Colombian polyduct system, and investigating ways to apply best practices to the contract policies of the hydrocarbon sector.
