In Leticia, Ambassador William R. Brownfield visited Camilo Torres public school, which educates more than 170 children from five different indigenous communities. The students honored him with the performance of a typical dance from the region.

U.S. and Colombia extend support to social program
Ambassador Brownfield and Foreign Affairs Minister Bermudez extended the agreements of U.S. assistance to social and humanitarian programs in Colombia. In 2009, U.S. support to democracy, alternative development, and assistance to internally displaced population increased to US 212 million.
